This is Wild Witch Rising
Wild Witch Rising didn’t come together all at once.
It began quietly in the things I was already doing. Gathering water from the sea. Drying herbs in my garden shed. Making something with my hands because I needed it before I ever thought about whether someone else might need it too. Writing words in notebooks. Lighting fires. Paying attention to tides, seasons, instinct, and all those little things we somehow know before we can explain how we know them.
Somewhere along the way, I realized the same thread ran through all of it.
Remembering.
Not becoming more spiritual. Not becoming more powerful. Not trying to turn myself into some polished version of a witch.
Remembering the woman who was already there.
The one who trusts her own hands. Who notices the moon. Who knows when something needs tending and when something needs releasing. Who understands that a kitchen can be an altar, a bath can be a ritual, a shirt can carry an intention, and a bottle of sea water can hold the memory of a particular tide.
Wild Witch Rising grew from that place.
And it is still made that way.
We are a small-batch house. Our Fires are blended by hand. Our shirts are printed by hand. Our waters are gathered and bottled by hand. Our ritual pieces are assembled, folded, labeled, packed, and finished by actual hands in small runs rather than pushed through a warehouse by the thousands.
That means batches may differ slightly. Some things may sell out. Some collections may never return in exactly the same form.
We like it that way.
Because the point was never to make as much as possible.
The point was to make things with intention, in quantities that allow us to still know what we are making, where it came from, and why it exists.
The Fires came. The waters came. The words became rituals, cards, shirts, and things meant to be held and used rather than simply looked at. One thing kept leading naturally into another until I finally understood what I was building.
It wasn’t really about making products.
It was about making ways to remember.
Everything here begins with that intention. Some things are made for protection. Some for courage. Some for rest, abundance, release, or beginning again. But underneath all of them is the same invitation:
Come back to yourself.
The tide always knows the way home.
This is Wild Witch Rising.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE HOUSE
HOLLY
Founder- Maker- Keeper of the House
Holly has never been particularly good at accepting “because that’s just the way it is” as an answer.
She has spent much of her life asking questions, studying, pulling things apart, and putting them back together in ways that make more sense to her. Herbs, energy work, healing traditions, ritual, ancestry, psychology, the body, the natural world. If something sparks a question, she follows it. Understanding has always been one of the ways she finds her footing in the world.
She is a wife, mother, and grandmother, and those relationships have shaped her more deeply than any professional title ever could. She knows what it is to love fiercely, care for other people, carry responsibility, build a life alongside someone, raise a family, watch children become adults, and then see another generation begin.
She also knows how easy it can be for a woman to become so many things to so many people that eventually she has to ask:
Who am I underneath all of these roles?
Her spiritual path grew, in part, from that question.
It has never been about fitting neatly into a tradition or performing someone else’s idea of what a witch should be. Holly’s practice has been built through lived experience. Plants drying in her shed, energy moving through her hands, family stories, old wisdom studied late into the night, intuition that refused to be ignored, and the ocean continually calling her back whenever life became too loud.
The sea is home to her because it is honest. It changes, retreats, returns, becomes still, becomes wild, and never apologizes for being what it is.
There is something in that she understands.
Holly believes there comes a point in many women’s lives when they stop asking permission to trust what they know. They begin separating who they truly are from everything they were expected to carry or become.
That is the work she cares about most.
Not teaching women how to become magical.
Reminding them that they already are.
MARIAH
Co-Founder- Maker- Creative Voice
Mariah is my daughter, but she is also a mother raising the next generation of our family. That changes the meaning of building Wild Witch Rising beside her.
She is doing the everyday work of motherhood while still making room for curiosity, creativity, ritual, journaling, and the parts of herself that existed before anyone called her Mom. I watch her teach my grandchildren simply by the way she lives, showing them that imagination matters, questions are welcome, nature is worth noticing, and there is still room for wonder in an ordinary day.
Our paths are connected, but they are not identical. Mariah has her own way of seeing things, her own relationship with ritual, and her own voice. She brings another generation into Wild Witch Rising. One that questions old rules, keeps what still has meaning, and isn't afraid to create something different.
There is something deeply personal about building this with my daughter while watching her raise my grandchildren.
Because suddenly remembering isn't only about looking backward.
It's also about deciding what gets carried forward.
What do we keep? What do we heal?
What do we teach differently? What do we want the children watching us to know about trusting themselves?
Wild Witch Rising began with my own remembering, but Mariah reminds me that the work doesn't end there.
Some things are inherited. Some things are rewritten. And some things are made together at the kitchen table while children grow up around us.
FROM KINDRED HANDS
ALLEN
Craftsman, Builder & Quiet Strength
Allen is Holly’s husband, her partner in life, and one of the quiet foundations beneath Wild Witch Rising.
He is the kind of person who does not need to be at the center of the room to make an impact. He is steady, practical, patient, and deeply hands on. When there is something to build, repair, figure out, carry, sand, shape, or make work, Allen is usually somewhere nearby doing exactly that.
Long before Wild Witch Rising became a real business, he was beside Holly while it was still an idea. He listened to the plans, watched the vision grow, helped solve the problems, and became part of the work simply by showing up again and again.
His woodworking grew naturally into the world of WWR. He creates with the same quiet attention he brings to everything else, letting the wood guide the piece instead of forcing it into something it was never meant to be. Grain, texture, knots, color, and imperfections are allowed to remain part of the story.
That way of working feels very much like Wild Witch Rising itself.
Nothing has to be perfectly polished to have value. Nothing has to look like everything else to belong.
Allen brings grounding to a space built on intuition, ritual, creativity, and big ideas. He is the steady hand beside the wild one, the person who helps turn imagination into something solid enough to hold.
His place here is much bigger than the things he makes.
He is part of the reason Wild Witch Rising has roots.
CYNDI
Kindred Soul & Keeper of Scent
Cyndi has been part of Holly’s life for more years than either of them probably cares to count.
She is a lifelong friend, one of those rare people who has been there through different seasons, different versions of life, and all the becoming that happens in between.
And like so many of us, Cyndi is on her own journey of returning.
Returning to herself. To her intuition. To the parts of herself that may have grown quieter beneath everything life asks us to carry.
That is one of the reasons her place within Wild Witch Rising feels so natural.
WWR was built around the idea that we do not need to become someone new. Somewhere beneath the expectations, responsibilities, noise, and years of living, there is something in us that still remembers who we are.
Cyndi understands that because she is living it too.
Her friendship with Holly existed long before Wild Witch Rising had a name, a website, or products sitting on a shelf. She has watched the dream grow from conversations and ideas into something real, and along the way, her own hands became part of its story.
But Kindred Hands is not here to introduce you to what Cyndi makes.
It is here to introduce you to Cyndi.
Friend. Creator. Fellow traveler. A woman still remembering.
Still returning.
Still becoming.
And one of the kindred souls who found her way into the circle.
